When to order a mold inspection

• You see visible discoloration on walls, ceilings, or around windows.
• The home has had known water damage — burst pipe, sewer backup, roof leak, ice-dam damage.
• You smell a persistent musty odor.
• Anyone in the household has unexplained respiratory issues.

What we do

We perform a thorough visual inspection using FLIR thermal imaging and moisture meters to find hidden moisture. We take 3–5 air samples (indoor locations plus one outdoor control) and send them to an independent accredited lab. Results arrive in 3–5 business days with species identification and spore counts.

Typical mold findings in south-metro homes

• Cladosporium / Penicillium-Aspergillus spikes in older Shakopee and Chaska basements with a history of moisture intrusion.
• Stachybotrys (black mold) colonies behind drywall near ice-dam-damaged exterior walls in 1980s–1990s builds.
• Attic mold from bath-fan-to-attic venting — one of the most common findings on pre-2005 homes.
• Crawlspace microbial growth on rim-joist lumber where vapor barriers are missing.
